• Eligible projects must be located within the Highlands Region or in a Municipality within the Highlands Expansion Opportunity Area.
• The total Federal funding request cannot exceed 50% of the total project cost.
• Eligible costs include the acquisition cost of the fee or conservation easement, and certain typical land transaction costs.
• The program requires a 50% non-Federal cost share.
• The expected award amount is between $25,000 and $4,316,457.
• The project duration is expected to be 3 years.
• The program supports the goals set forth in the Biden Harris Administration's America the Beautiful Initiative, including the conservation of 30 percent of America's lands and waters by the year 2030.
