Fire Tower Renovation

The City of Milpitas is seeking a qualified contractor to renovate the City's Fire Training Tower. The project includes the demolition and replacement of 34 doors, installation and upgrade of associated fire-rated components, structural reinforcements, and live fire training systems. The selected contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the work within 240 calendar days. The contractor must also demonstrate experience in the design, fabrication, or installation of fire training facilities in accordance with NFPA 1403 and have a proven track record of delivering efficient and compliant project outcomes. Key aspects of the project include: • Demolition and replacement of 34 doors • Installation and upgrade of fire-rated components and structural reinforcements • Live fire training systems installation and upgrade • Compliance with NFPA 1403 and recommendations of licensed fire protection and structural engineers • Completion of work within 240 calendar days • Demonstration of experience in fire training facility design, fabrication, or installation
