Youth Mentoring Services

The County of Albany is seeking proposals for Youth Mentoring Services in conjunction with Albany County Family Court. The selected vendor will be responsible for implementing a structured, year-round mentoring program for justice-involved youth ages 12-17 referred through Albany County Family Court. The program must ensure that mentors are carefully recruited, trained, and supported to reflect the diverse backgrounds, lived experiences, and cultural identities of the youth served. Key services include: • Recruit qualified mentors with lived experience and diverse backgrounds reflective of the youth served. • Provide internal vetting and recruitment guidelines and/or policies. • Conduct intake assessments and coordinate with Family Court to identify appropriate participants. • Facilitate one-on-one weekly mentoring sessions for a minimum of 12 months. • Monthly check-ins with mentors; contribute to a multidisciplinary, court-based team convening on a regular basis at and/or with Albany County Family Court and maintain open communication with the court and Albany County Probation Department for ongoing judicial oversight and compliance monitoring. • Provide data evaluations and/or outcome data as requested by Albany County Family Court and Albany County Probation Department.
