Refinish Existing Shower Bases

The State University of New York (SUNY) is seeking informal quotes for the refinishing of 44 existing 3’ x 3’ terrazzo shower bases in O’Connor Hall at SUNY Delhi. The work must be completed between December 20, 2025, and January 9, 2026. The quotes must include NYS prevailing wage and all project expenses. The specifications for the project include cleaning and re-grouting the tile, applying a vapor barrier, primer coats, and a clear anti-microbial finish. The contractor must also protect the drains and clean the work areas to pre-work conditions. • Clean all tile and re-grout/strip as needed • Clean substrate using non-hydrochloric acid • Apply Miracle Method Mira-Seal vapor barrier and let cure as manufacturer recommended • Apply 2 epoxy urethane primer coats • Apply natural accent fleck/color – Burmite • Apply Mira-Poly clear anti-microbial with aggregate • Clean all work areas to pre work conditions • Must protect all drains to prevent any debris from entering them and are responsible for removing/cleaning any debris that does enter the drains
