The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a mini fragment plating system for the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System. The system must have variable angle optimized locking technology, provide a variable angle locking mechanism, and have tightly tolerance screw hole threads for enhanced plate to screw engagement. The system must also have combination holes that integrate the variable angle locking zone and have two screw types: cortex and locking screw. The contractor must provide a brand name or equal product that meets the salient characteristics listed in the solicitation.
• Must have variable angle optimized locking technology
• Provide a variable angle locking mechanism that allows variable angels up to +/-15deg (30 deg cone) without losing stability
• Must have tightly tolerance screw hole threads for enhanced plate to screw engagement
• Must have combination holes that integrate the variable angle locking zone
• Must have two screw types: cortex and locking screw
• Be designed for internal fracture fixation of bones and bone fragments of the appendicular skeleton appropriate for the implant size
• Provide a minimum of 1 Newton-meter (Nm) of torque to fully lock screw into plates
• Be able to treat patient anatomy with 2.4mm and 2.7mm screw options and lengths up to 90mm
• Screw must be available in 1mm increments and up to 20mm
• Have a threaded cone drill guide and provide +/-15 deg of angulation
