Description
The Air Force is issuing a Sources Sought/Request for Information notice to gauge market interest and capability for the essential overhaul (remanufacture) of KC‑135 Auxiliary Power Units (APU). The effort will involve disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair/rebuild, full functional testing, IUID marking, packaging, and delivery of serviceable APU units to Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The Government seeks detailed capability statements, small‑business status, potential teaming arrangements, and suggestions on contract structure, supply‑chain risk mitigation, and over‑and‑above work handling.
• Perform full APU “A” condition overhaul per Technical Orders and OEM specifications.
• Provide detailed reporting (CAV‑AF, QDR, TDR, etc.) and comply with counterfeit‑prevention and supply‑chain risk plans.
• Submit capability statements by the response deadline, identifying small‑business classification and any proposed pricing mechanisms for firm‑fixed‑price contracts.
