Description
The County of Loudoun, Virginia, is seeking a qualified consultant to provide comprehensive Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) services for the Evergreen Mills Road, Watson Road, and Reservoir Road Intersection Improvements project. The project involves the realignment of Watson Road and Reservoir Road to form a new four-legged, signalized intersection with Evergreen Mills Road, as well as the widening of Evergreen Mills Road. The consultant will be responsible for performing CEI services, including on-site inspection, materials testing, and construction administration. The project is expected to last approximately 24 months.
• The consultant will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting the work of the construction contractor to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• The consultant will perform materials testing, including soil and aggregate compaction, and will be responsible for obtaining proper licenses for equipment and personnel.
• The consultant will provide daily reports and photographs of the project, and will upload all project reports and pictures into Trimble.
• The consultant will be responsible for coordinating with the construction contractor, the County, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of the project.
• The consultant will be required to have knowledge of roadway, structure, and bridge construction methods, materials, standards, and specifications.
• The consultant will be required to have experience with CEI services, including construction administration, materials testing, and inspection.
