Description
The City of Kissimmee is seeking a consulting engineering firm to provide professional design services for the Columbia Avenue Complete Street project. The project aims to reconstruct the roadway, curb and gutter, sidewalks, and streetscape elements to enhance pedestrian and bicycle safety. The selected firm will be responsible for including utility adjustments and upgrade plans as part of the City project plans.
Key aspects of the project include:
• Reconstruction of the roadway, curb and gutter, and sidewalks
• Installation of raised pedestrian refuge islands and curb extensions
• Reconfiguration of the cross-section to better protect bicycle traffic and improve pedestrian space
• Installation of pedestrian-oriented decorative lighting
• Utility adjustments and upgrade plans
