Description
The City of Danville is seeking sealed bids from responsible bidders for the pavement resurfacing of various routes within the city. The project includes asphalt milling and construction of a new asphalt concrete surface course and related work. Bidders must be VDOT pre-qualified. The project has a substantial completion date of December 15, 2026, and a final completion date of December 31, 2026.
• The project requires a bid bond of 5% of the total bid and performance and payment bonds of 100% of the contract price.
• The contractor must provide all cones, barrels, signs, devices, equipment, tools, and personnel to provide for safety and adequately control traffic for the project site.
• The contractor must adhere to the Virginia Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices Version 11.0 and the Virginia Work Area Protection Manual Version 11.0.
• The contractor must provide its employees with proper equipment to perform the job safely and make the same provision in any subcontract agreement.
