Sole Source Notice: Purchase of Speer & Federal Bonded Duty Ammunition from Florida Bullet, Inc.

The City of North Miami Beach, Florida intends to negotiate a Sole Source procurement for the purchase of Speer & Federal bonded duty ammunition from Florida Bullet, Inc. The Police Department requires this ammunition for daily operations to ensure citizens and employees are safe in the event of a deadly force situation. Florida Bullet, Inc. is the sole authorized distributor of Federal and Speer Law Enforcement Ammunition in the State of Florida. The anticipated cost is $161,998.10. • The ammunition is for the North Miami Beach Police Department (NMBPD) • The Police Department has researched and selected Speer Bonded and Federal Bonded ammunition • The ammunition meets and exceeds the minimum penetration protocols of 12” - 18” as standardized by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) • The procurement is exempt from the bidding process under the City of North Miami Beach City Code Section 3-4.8 • Interested firms or individuals may submit their interest and capability to respond to the requirement in writing
