2026 High Friction Surface Treatment Project

The Nevada County Public Works Department is seeking bids for the 2026 High Friction Surface Treatment Project. The project involves applying High Friction Surface Treatment (HFST) to fourteen curves throughout rural Nevada County. The work includes traffic control, dig-out and repair of failed pavement, resin crack treatment, road sweeping, road surface preparation, and protection of existing striping and markers. Bids must be for all of the work described and must be submitted by April 28, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. The engineer's estimate for the project is $920,000.
