LHD CLASS DIESEL ENGINE ASSESSMENT

The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) is seeking a contractor to provide a complete assessment of the LHD class diesel generator engine asset (ALCO Model 251C). The contractor will be required to perform an "out-of-frame" assessment, which includes preparation and cleaning, disassembly, inspection, non-destructive testing, dimensional analysis, and coordination for crankshaft assessment and balancing. The contractor will also be required to provide a comprehensive assessment report detailing inspection results and recommended actions. • The assessment will be performed on the LHD class diesel generator engine asset (ALCO Model 251C). • The contractor will be required to provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to accomplish the assessment. • The contractor will be required to provide a comprehensive assessment report detailing inspection results and recommended actions. • The contract will be awarded on a sole source basis to Fairbanks Morse LLC. • The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811310 – Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance.
