SIDEWALK REPAIR PROGRAM PACKAGE NO. 85 (LA 28)

The City of Los Angeles is seeking bids for a Design-Bid-Build construction project to remediate existing pedestrian facilities and bring them into compliance with current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards at 22 sites. The scope of work includes sidewalk, driveway, curb, and gutter replacement; curb ramp installation; asphalt concrete patch repair; concrete intersection gutter repairs; tree works and landscape restoration; removal and reinstallation of pedestrian pipe guardrail/handrail, and more. The project is subject to the City's Local Business Preference Program, which grants bid reductions to certified Local Business Enterprise (LBE) firms. • The project involves construction work at 22 sites, including 15 Access Request sites and 7 LA28 Program Access Improvements (PAI) sites. • The contractor must possess a valid State of California Contractor's License Classification of "A" at the time of bid. • The bid documents are available on the Regional Alliance Marketplace for Procurement (www.RAMPLA.org) website. • The City shall grant bid reductions to certified LBE, Local Small Business (LSB), and Local Transitional Employer (LTE) firms. • The project is expected to increase local employment and expenditures in the local private sector.
