P-8A, C-40, & E-7A CFM56 Core Engines

The Naval Air Systems Command is seeking information from potential vendors for the procurement of P-8A, C-40, and E-7A CFM56 core engines and associated equipment. The government intends to negotiate with only one source, CFM International, but is conducting market research to determine if other qualified contractors exist. The procurement includes 28 P-8A engines, 1 C-40 engine, and 17 E-7A engines, as well as associated equipment such as engine covers and debris monitoring system kits. Interested parties are invited to submit capability statements, which should include company profiles, relevant experience, and information on their ability to perform the work. • The government is seeking information on potential vendors' ability to provide the requested turnkey solution. • The procurement is for commercial items, and the government is pursuing a sole-source acquisition. • The technical specifications describe the currently contemplated possible specifications, but may vary from the actual specifications identified in any final Product Descriptions. • The government is not obligated to pay for any information received in response to this Sources Sought. • The government may use the responses to this Sources Sought for information and planning purposes.
