The Government Publishing Office (GPO) is seeking a vendor to produce and deliver 250,000 plastic pencil sharpeners for the USDA Forest Service’s Smokey Bear fire‑prevention campaign. The sharpeners will be split evenly between translucent blue and red, each imprinted with a black‑ink Smokey Bear logo, packaged in critical‑packing boxes, and shipped to Grand Rapids, MN. The contractor must also provide a press‑quality PDF of the artwork, four pre‑production samples, and comply with FDA, child‑safety, and environmental standards.
• 250,000 total plastic sharpeners (125 k blue, 125 k red) with black Smokey Bear imprint
• Packaging: 50 per inner pack, 20 packs per re‑mailable box, burst‑strength ≥ 275 psi, labeled “CRITICAL PACKING”
• Deliverables include a press‑quality PDF, four pre‑production samples, labeling/marking forms, and all required documentation (W‑9, Buy‑American indication, etc.)
• All samples, proofs, and shipments must meet strict 3‑day government review windows, with warranty extended to one year after final payment.
