85 Series Well Abandonment

The Board of Water and Light (BWL) is seeking bids for the abandonment of three groundwater wells in the Lansing area. The successful bidder will be required to provide expertise to recommend the best course of action for each well and to execute the selected abandonment plan. The contract will be a unit cost proposal including labor, materials, and equipment to abandon wells. The BWL is seeking a lump sum price to perform the work based on current well information associated with Wellogic well log and/or owner records. • The wells to be abandoned are 85-01, 85-02, and 85-03. • The expected volume of wells 85-01, 85-02, and 85-03 are 657.38 ft^3, 150.21 ft^3, and 185.55 ft^3 respectively. • The bidder should provide unit price per cubic foot of filling material associated with not being able to accurately assess needed cement volume. • The evaluation criteria will be based on base price of work, unit price of work for additional fill, work experience, acceptance of LBWL’s T&Cs, schedule, and competitiveness of bid.
