Description

The City of Eustis is soliciting bids to provide comprehensive street striping services across municipal roadways where existing markings have been deemed inadequate. The contractor must use thermoplastic, retro‑reflective pavement markings that meet Federal Specification TTP 1952F and FM 5‑541 reflectivity standards, and will be responsible for applying striping, stop bars, and other road markings, except parking lines which are non‑reflective. The work includes a warranty period during which any markings that fail under traffic must be replaced at no cost to the city. • Apply thermoplastic, retro‑reflective line and stop‑bar markings city‑wide per the supplied survey map and spreadsheet. • Use ready‑mixed paint meeting TTP 1952F, embed glass beads via pressurized spray, and ensure all markings meet FM 5‑541 initial reflectivity. • Provide detailed paint specifications and a step‑by‑step process plan; replace any deficient markings within an 18‑month observation period.

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $500,000

No budget is listed, but based on typical municipal street‑striping rates (approximately $5‑$15 per linear foot) and assuming the city needs to re‑stripe several miles of roadway, a reasonable contract value would fall between $200,000 and $500,000. This range accounts for material costs (thermoplastic, beads, paint), labor, equipment, and the 18‑month warranty obligation.
