USCG Station Marathon Basin Bubble Curtain Repair

The United States Coast Guard is seeking a contractor to repair the mooring basin bubble curtain at the USCG Station Marathon in Florida. The scope of work includes rebuilding or replacing all necessary equipment to ensure 100% effectiveness of the installed weed curtain. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment to meet all specifications and inspections. The contract will be awarded to the vendor who can provide the best value, considering factors such as cost, past performance, and labor and material costs. Key aspects of the job include: • Rebuilding or replacing all necessary equipment for the weed curtain • Providing a function check of three pneumatic compressor assemblies with 12 compressors, 9 exhaust fans, all underwater pneumatic lines, diffusers, and distribution blocks and gauge • Removing and disposing of existing non-functioning compressors and fan units • Rebuilding all functioning compressors in the system with manufacturer-recommended parts and maintenance procedures • Replacing all compressors that are not functioning with compressors recommended by the manufacturer • Performing a cleaning and inspection of all underwater equipment and replacing or servicing as necessary • Performing a performance test to ensure function of all equipment prior to final inspection
