Twin Chimneys MSW Unit 4 Cell 5 Landfill Earthwork

The County of Greenville is seeking proposals for the landfill earthwork of Unit 4 Cell 5 located at the Twin Chimneys Landfill. The project involves the excavation of approximately 160,000 cy of material (soil and rock) for the future Unit 4 Cell 5 landfill cell. The excavated material will be placed in on-site stockpiles. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment to remove the overburden soil in preparation for the Municipal Solid Waste (class 3) Unit 4 Cell 5. The project is subject to liquidated damages of approximately $1,000.00/day for substantial completion and $500.00/day for final completion. The County desires the project to be substantially complete within 150 days. • The contractor shall provide materials and perform all work in accordance with the specifications and drawings prepared by HDR Engineering, Inc of the Carolinas. • The contractor shall comply with all federal, state, and local codes. • The contractor shall provide a Statement of Qualifications, including company background, experience, and past performance. • The contractor shall provide a list of equipment dedicated to the project and backup equipment and procedures in case of any equipment failure. • The contractor shall provide references, including company name, name of contact, address, telephone number, and email address of contact person with whom the responder has performed or provided similar work, service or product.
