Business Attraction Prime Sites

The Business Attraction Prime Sites program is a grant opportunity provided by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. The program aims to assist companies with large-scale capital investment projects that commit to significant job creation for Illinois residents. The grants can be used for various economic development projects, including infrastructure and capital equipment purchases. • The program has a 1:1 match requirement, and the Department may cover up to 50% of the total eligible capital expenses for the project. • Eligible applicants include businesses that are relocating to or expanding operations in Illinois and have received confirmation of eligibility for an EDGE, HIB, REV, or MICRO credit. • The grant application process involves submitting a project narrative, uniform capital budget, and other required documents. • The grant awards will be made on a competitive basis, and the Department will evaluate applications based on criteria such as need, capacity, quality, and economic impact.
