Demolition of Residential and Commercial Structures

The Charles County Government is seeking bids from qualified contractors for demolition services of 4 independent structures in the Town of La Plata, MD. The demolition shall include removal of all above ground and below ground components, backfilling with suitable materials, and grading to achieve a minimum of 2% positive drainage. The site shall be stabilized and seeded. • The project requires a mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit on September 10, 2025, at 11:00am. • The contractor must have experience in demolition of residential and commercial structures, coordination with utility companies, hazardous material removal and disposal, and sitework including excavating, backfilling, grading, and seeding. • The contract term is 120 consecutive calendar days after the start date specified in a written Notice to Proceed issued by Charles County Government. • The contractor must provide insurance coverage, including commercial automobile, worker's compensation, commercial general liability, and builder's risk insurance. • The contractor must comply with the County's Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) program and Small Local Business Enterprise (SLBE) program.
