Description

The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking to procure a scalable, International Maritime Organization (IMO) certified Shipborne Surveillance Radar (SSR) system to serve as the primary collision avoidance system, enhancing navigation and surveillance for cutters and shore units. The system should have the capability to track a minimum of 10 Digital Selective Calling (DSC) targets, receive data via NMEA 2000, and send data via NMEA OneNet. The radar solution should meet IMO type-certified X-band and S-Band radar requirements with varying array lengths to meet scalable needs. * The system must be able to operate within the range of 9.2 - 9.5 GHz. * The system should include the capability to receive data via NMEA 2000 and send data via NMEA OneNet. * The system must be able to track a minimum of 10 DSC targets. * The system should have the capability to include ADF symbology. * The system should meet IHO S52 electronic chart presentation standards. * The system should have the capability to detect vessels smaller than the current SOLAS sized vessels. The proposal should include the capability of the solution/products with the IMO certification in mind as a threshold requirement. The offeror must acknowledge Amendment 0001 in accordance with Item 11.

Budget estimate

$10,000,000 – $50,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is not explicitly stated in the document. However, considering the complexity and scope of the project, it is likely to be a multi-million dollar contract. The IDIQ contract ceiling may allow for multiple awards, and the contract duration may be several years. The factors that may influence the likely payment range include the type and quantity of radar systems procured, the level of customization required, and the duration of the contract. A rough estimate for the budget could be between $10 million and $50 million, considering the Coast Guard's budget for similar projects and the complexity of the system being procured.
