The City of Madison is seeking qualified contractors to replace a segment of its sanitary sewer main along Fordem Avenue and First Street, including excavation, pipe installation, manhole access structures, utility coordination, and associated street restoration. The work encompasses removal of existing pipe, installation of new PVC pipe (21‑in and 10‑in), construction of three new sanitary access structures, demolition and replacement of curbs, sidewalks, and asphalt, and comprehensive erosion‑control and traffic‑management measures. The contract includes mandatory compliance with small‑business enterprise (SBE) goals, bid‑bond requirements, and detailed permitting with the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD).
