Description
The Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs is seeking a vendor to lease approximately 142.39 tillable acres of land at the Illinois Veterans’ Home at Manteno Farm for agricultural purposes. The lease will be valid from contract execution to February 28, 2027. The vendor will be responsible for all farming operations, including labor, machinery, tools, seed, fertilizer, equipment, and insurance. The vendor must also comply with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as IDVA rules and regulations.
• The vendor must provide a quote that includes all expenses and must be valid for 90 days from the date of submission.
• The vendor must be able to provide all required supplies and services and offer the lowest price.
• The selected vendor will be based on the highest value per acre.
• The vendor must comply with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as IDVA rules and regulations.
• The vendor must obtain approvals from IDVA for submission to the Farm Service Agency (FSA) regarding crop acreage certification.
• The vendor must comply with the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) regarding all Soil Conservation Activity Plans.
