JAF Machine Shop Support

The U.S. Army is seeking a contractor to provide preventive maintenance services and "as needed" reactive repairs to the Joint Armament Facility (JAF) Machine Shop. The contractor will be responsible for performing maintenance checks, repairs, and replacements on various machines, including Haas MINIMILL, Haas ST-15Y Lathe, Chicago Pneumatic CPBG 29D API-Air Compressor, OMAX 1515/M30 Abrasive Waterjet, Sodick VL400Q EDM, Wire, and Haas CL-1 Lathe. The contractor will also be required to provide a monthly damage report and perform other tasks as outlined in the contract. Some key responsibilities of the contractor include: • Performing vibration analysis of machine's spindle, including bearings and drive motors • Performing a Drawbar Force Test to detect drawbar tension problems • Performing Geometry Inspection to ensure machine accuracy • Performing all major maintenance checks and comprehensive checks on mechanical, electrical, air, coolant, and spindle way lube systems • Providing a copy of the service report and ball bar test or any other test or calibration completed after each machine is serviced The contract will be for a base period of one year, with four optional 12-month extension periods.
