26-0058 Western Downtown to Morningside PZ Conversion

New Braunfels Utilities (NBU) is seeking a qualified firm to provide construction services for the Western Downtown to Morningside PZ Conversion project. The project involves the construction of approximately 17,000 linear feet of watermain piping, pressure reducing valve, grout fill abandonment of existing piping, removal of existing piping, traffic control, storm water pollution prevention, restoration, and other appurtenances. The selected firm will be responsible for obtaining all applicable permits and inspections, providing performance and payment bonds, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Key aspects of the project include: • Construction of watermain piping using open cut and trenchless methods • Installation of pressure reducing valves and other appurtenances • Removal and abandonment of existing piping • Traffic control and storm water pollution prevention • Restoration of disturbed areas • Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations The project is expected to start on March 15, 2026, and be completed within 480 calendar days.
