Description

The City of Richmond is seeking bids for the construction of the Patterson Ave Bike Lanes Phase II project. The project involves the installation of pavement markings and signs to provide on-street buffered bike lanes along Patterson Avenue from Commonwealth Avenue to Willow Lawn Drive. The project is funded by the Virginia Department of Transportation and is subject to federal contract provisions. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating all traffic control and work-in-streets permits within the city. The project requires a site safety plan and company safety plan to be submitted prior to assuming any construction activities. The contractor will also be responsible for quality control and assurance, and will be required to provide a warranty for one year from final acceptance. Some key points to consider: • The project has a fixed price contract with a completion time of 180 consecutive calendar days. • The contractor will be required to provide a bid bond and a performance bond. • The contractor will be responsible for all materials, tools, labor, and equipment necessary to complete the project. • The contractor will be required to comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. • The contractor will be required to provide a warranty for one year from final acceptance.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $2,000,000

The budget for this project can be estimated based on the scope of work and the materials required. The project involves the installation of pavement markings and signs, which can be a relatively low-cost project. However, the project also requires a site safety plan and company safety plan, which can add to the overall cost. Additionally, the project has a fixed price contract with a completion time of 180 consecutive calendar days, which can also impact the budget. Based on these factors, a rough estimate for the budget could be between $500,000 and $2,000,000.
