The Clay County Purchasing Department is seeking bids for an Agricultural Acreage Lease for approximately 208.9 acres of land located at Little Platte Park at Smithville Lake, Smithville, MO 64089. The lease is for agricultural purposes only, specifically for crop and hay production. The initial term of the lease is from the date of award through December 31, 2026, with the option to renew for up to 5 additional years. The successful bidder will be required to pay an annual rent, with a minimum bid of $40,500.00 per year or $194.06 per acre. The bidder must also provide liability insurance and comply with all federal and state laws, rules, and regulations.
