Description

The City of New Haven is seeking a qualified organization to provide basic and essential services to victims of violence through a comprehensive, trauma-informed, and violence prevention focused approach. The services may include emergency and ongoing basic needs assistance, such as food, clothing, transportation, temporary housing or relocation support, safety planning, and connections to community-based resources. The proposed programs should prioritize culturally responsive, survivor-centered practices and demonstrate an understanding of violence as a preventable public health issue. The successful applicant will integrate prevention strategies that address immediate stabilization needs while also supporting pathways to recovery, resilience, and reduced likelihood of recidivism and/or re-victimization. Some of the key goals of the project include: Stabilization-Focused Cash Assistance, Reporting and Documentation, and Direct Cash Assistance. The evaluation criteria for the proposal include the proposed solution, company staffing assigned to the project, budget, and organization background.
