2026 Pedestrian Curb Ramp Retrofit Program

The City of Davenport is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the 2026 Pedestrian Curb Ramp Retrofit Program. The program involves retrofitting ADA pedestrian curb ramps in conjunction with the Street Maintenance Division's neighborhood street resurfacing program. The work includes removing sections of sidewalks, curb and gutter, driveway approaches, and other surfaces as required to facilitate the installation of ADA pedestrian ramps and detectable warning panels. The contractor shall complete all work, including final cleanup and removal of all equipment, before September 30, 2026. • The City reserves the right to add or delete intersection areas or sidewalks from those shown in the contract documents as conditions require. • The City reserves the right to add to the contract additional ADA ramp retrofit sites as funding allows. • The contractor shall provide and maintain inlet protection devices at all times during the course of this project to ensure no undesirable debris enters the storm sewer system, creeks, or other natural waterways. • The contractor shall establish and maintain appropriate traffic control in accordance with SUDAS Section 8030 and as directed by the Project Manager. • The contractor shall provide 72-hour advance notice of all lane restrictions, street closures, and detours on the cityofdavenportiowa.com/roadwork website after pre-approval of the notice by the Project Manager.
