Description
The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is seeking a qualified contractor to perform asbestos abatement services for Building 8, located at 500 Balltown Road, Schenectady, NY 12304. The scope of work includes determining the need for variances, asbestos abatement, disposal of asbestos-containing materials, and site cleanup. The contractor must attend a mandatory site visit on October 14, 2025, and submit a quote by October 28, 2025. The contract will be awarded to the responsible and responsive bidder that provides the lowest total cost for asbestos abatement.
• The contractor must have experience in asbestos abatement and provide references and insurance certificates.
• The contractor must comply with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations governing asbestos abatement.
• The contractor must provide a certified payroll and maintain workers' compensation insurance.
• The contractor must cooperate with OPWDD staff and comply with safety and security requirements.
• The contractor must complete the work within 60 working days of contract approval, unless modified by OPWDD.
