NOAA: MMTS Insulating Plates Built to Specifications for the NWS/National Logistics Support Center

The NOAA National Weather Service (NWS) requires a small‑business contractor to design, fabricate, and deliver ten (10) complete MMTS (Maximum/Minimum Temperature System) insulating plate kits for the National Logistics Support Center in Grandview, MO. Each kit consists of four plate types (top, insulating, solid, and “big‑hole”) built to detailed drawings and specifications. The contractor must provide all engineering documentation for injection molds, first‑article samples for government inspection, and then produce the remaining units within 60 days of first‑article approval. Packaging, labeling, and shipping must follow NOAA and CFR 49 Part 173 requirements. The contract is firm‑fixed‑price, 100 % set‑aside for small businesses, and includes a warranty on the molds for the life of the purchase order. • Produce 10 full MMTS plate kits (130 top plates, 30 insulated plates, 30 solid plates, 50 big‑hole plates). • Deliver engineering drawings, photos, and material specs for injection molds to the COR. • Submit three first‑article units for inspection; upon approval, deliver the remaining seven units within 60 days. • Provide detailed delivery schedule, visual‑inspection certification, and warranty on molds (parts & labor). • Follow NOAA marking/bar‑coding and CFR 49 Part 173 packaging standards; ship to 14200 Merritt Road, Grandview, MO. • All work must be performed by a SAM‑registered small business; UEI required.
