WWTP and South Beach Tank Recoating Project

The City of Newport is soliciting bids for surface preparation and recoating of four facilities at or near the Wastewater Treatment Plant, including the WWTP Headworks Building, Lime Silo, Storage Facility, and the South Beach Reservoir. Work includes cleaning, surface preparation, and application of the specified coating system. The City may award one, multiple, or all bid items. • The project requires a mandatory site visit. • The project has a completion date of September 30, 2026, with a 30-day construction window for each structure. • The contractor must provide a proposed schedule and anticipated start dates upon receipt of the Notice of Intent to Award. • The City will conduct lead testing on the South Beach Tank, but results will not be available prior to the bid due date. • The contractor must rent a City of Newport bulk-water meter for use at each site, with a setup fee, monthly rental fee, and water usage billed at a bulk water rate.
