South Mill Creek Village Fencing

The City of Bakersfield Public Works is soliciting bids to construct a comprehensive black wrought‑iron fencing system for the South Mill Creek Village area, including vehicle and pedestrian gates, associated concrete work, utility conduit, and landscaping improvements. The scope covers demolition of existing curb/sidewalk elements, installation of new curb & gutter, sidewalk, median curb, asphalt patches, concrete footings, and a full suite of gate hardware (swing, sliding, pedestrian, patio) with electronic lock systems. Contractor must hold a California Class A or C‑13 license, secure a city street permit, coordinate utility locates, and comply with Caltrans and City standards, as well as water‑efficient landscaping ordinances. • Install black wrought‑iron fence, metal posts, and mow‑strip concrete at grade. • Provide and install vehicle swing & sliding gates, pedestrian keypad‑locked gate, patio gate, and related operators/lock hardware. • Perform concrete curb & gutter, sidewalk, median curb, asphalt patching, and pavement‑border work per City/Caltrans specs. • Install 25 ft PVC conduit sleeves for utilities, coordinate with USA Locator Service, and meet ADA‑compliant ramp/handrail modifications. • Execute landscaping (trees, shrubs, ground‑cover) and install concrete mow‑strips, signage, and lighting pull‑boxes.
