Description
The City of Austin Electric Utility is seeking a qualified contractor to supply precast concrete manholes for use in underground transmission, distribution, and communication systems. The manholes must be engineered and fabricated to provide a structurally safe design and meet various standards and codes, including ASTM and AASHTO. The contractor will be required to supply all necessary vehicles, equipment, and accessories to safely lift and place the manholes at the job site.
• The precast concrete manholes will be used for underground transmission, distribution, and communication systems.
• The manholes must be designed to be installed with a burial depth of 3 feet or 5 feet below grade.
• The manholes must be rated for AASHTO HS-20 loading.
• The contractor must provide certified engineering data for the manholes.
• The contractor must supply all necessary vehicles, equipment, and accessories to safely lift and place the manholes at the job site.
