B026-42 Columbus Avenue Cul-de-sac

The City of Meriden is seeking bids for the construction of a cul-de-sac at the south end of Columbus Avenue and a short multi-use path between Columbus Avenue and Marina Court. The project includes removal of existing pavement, regrading, and construction of a 48' radius cul-de-sac and an 8' wide stone dust multi-use path. The selected contractor will prepare a construction schedule and present it at the pre-construction meeting. The contractor will coordinate with homeowners for any disruption to access to and from their properties. • The project is expected to commence in Spring 2026 and be completed as quickly as possible to limit disruption to residents. • The contractor will be responsible for maintaining and protecting vehicular and pedestrian traffic during construction. • The project includes various items such as sediment control, hot mix asphalt pavement, non-tracking asphalt tack coat, and turf establishment. • The contractor must comply with all applicable state and local regulations and ensure that all work is performed in a workmanlike manner.
