Material Testing Services for Bob Jones Trail

The County of San Luis Obispo is soliciting proposals for professional services for Material Testing Services for the Bob Jones Trail project. The project involves construction of a Class I Pathway between Cloverridge Lane and the Octagon Barn in San Luis Obispo, CA. The selected consultant will provide Material Testing services, including construction material testing, special inspections, and field observations during construction. The consultant will also be required to coordinate with County staff and construction contractors to provide timely support during active construction phases. The contract will be for a term of two years, and the County reserves the right to extend the contract for additional services. • The project requires the consultant to perform construction material testing for soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregate in accordance with ASTM and AASHTO standards. • The consultant must also conduct special inspections and field observations during construction to verify conformance with approved plans and specifications. • The consultant will be required to respond to calls as needed, including after hours, weekends, and holidays, and provide virtual support as warranted. • The consultant must comply with the County's Quality Assurance Manual, Caltrans Specifications, and project contract documents. • The consultant will be required to provide written reports for all completed testing and budgets for each task order based on the approved fee schedule.
