Job Order Contract for General Engineering Construction Services

The County of Santa Cruz is seeking proposals from licensed contractors to provide Job Order Contracting services for general engineering construction. The contract will be for a term of one year, with the option to issue job orders up to a maximum contract value of $6,210,093. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete the work. The contract will include a Construction Task Catalog with pre-priced tasks and unit prices, and the contractor will be required to bid on seven adjustment factors to be applied to the unit prices. • The contract is an indefinite quantity construction contract, and the County may issue job orders as needed. • The contractor will be required to attend a joint scope meeting with the County to review and discuss the proposed work. • The contractor will be required to provide a price proposal, construction schedule, list of proposed subcontractors, and other requested documentation. • The contract will include a performance bond and labor and material payment bond, each with a penal sum of $1,000,000. • The contractor will be required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to prevailing wages, apprenticeship, and employment of local residents.
