Description
The City of Salina is seeking a qualified contractor to demolish the existing scale house and truck scale, then construct a new two‑scale house building with associated site improvements at its municipal solid waste landfill. The scope covers demolition, earthwork, concrete, structural steel, architectural finishes, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and utility work, as well as the installation of two new truck scales and related storm‑water controls. The project will be bid as a lump‑sum contract with a bid deadline of 2 April 2026.
• Demolition of existing scale house, removal and disposal of all materials.
• New construction: building shell, two truck scales (inbound/outbound), concrete pads, asphalt pavement, curbs, sidewalks, parking, and utility connections.
• Full integration of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, lighting, fire protection, and instrumentation for the scales.
