Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking proposals for professional, scientific, and technical support services to aid in their current and emerging research priorities. The contract will provide specialized scientific expertise in areas such as basic, translational, and clinical research, vaccine research and development, and bioinformatics. The selected contractor will be required to furnish all necessary services, personnel, materials, equipment, and facilities to perform the statement of work. The contract will be a multiple award indefinite quantity contract with a minimum guaranteed order of $2,000 per IDIQ contract and a maximum total portfolio ceiling of $3,000,000,000. The contract period is expected to be from September 15, 2026, to September 14, 2031, with an option to extend for an additional six months.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Providing scientific and professional expertise to support NIH's research priorities
• Performing specialized scientific research in various environments, including BSL-2, -3, and -4
• Conducting bioinformatics and computational biology research
• Collaborating with junior staff to modify research protocols and prepare presentations of research
• Evaluating and interpreting research data and communicating results in reports and presentations
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures related to scientific programs
• Managing and analyzing large, complex statistical databases
• Utilizing statistical software packages and performing descriptive and missing data analyses
