Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to realign, raise, lower, level, and backfill upright marble headstones, clean the headstones, and renovate and re-establish turf grass stands at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. The project involves approximately 5,955 headstones and 360,564 square feet of turf grass. The contractor will be required to perform the work in accordance with the attached Statement of Work and within the specified timeframe. The contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder whose bid is most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and price-related factors.
• The project requires the contractor to work on a national cemetery, which demands special care, reverence, dignity, and respect.
• The contractor must maintain an adequate inspection system to ensure that the work performed under the contract conforms to contract requirements.
• The Government may reject any or all bids and waive informalities or minor irregularities in bids received.
• The contractor will be required to furnish a bid guarantee in the form of a firm commitment, such as a bid bond, and performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the awarded contract amount.
• The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and contract clauses, including those related to labor, safety, and environmental protection.
