Jones Creek Pond Parking Maintenance, Loess Hills State Forest, Monona County

The project involves the regrading of the existing gravel parking lot and access road to the Jones Creek Pond boat ramp to address recurring erosion issues. Work includes stockpiling and salvaging onsite grading materials, onsite borrow and roadway embankment, installation of Geoweb soil reinforcement panels, and furnishing and installing offsite earthen borrow and granular surfacing material. The project requires the contractor to verify actual locations and elevations with the DNR Engineer and to visit the site and inspect the project area prior to bidding and the start of work. • The project includes the installation of Geoweb panels, non-woven geotextile fabric, and Class A crushed stone surfacing. • The contractor shall salvage as much granular material as possible and reuse it as embankment. • The project requires the contractor to furnish and install earthen borrow and granular surfacing material. • The contractor shall shape graded areas to maintain surface drainage and install erosion control features as needed.
