Integrated Placemaking Planning & Design Assistance

The Iowa Economic Development Authority is seeking a consultant to provide integrated placemaking planning and design assistance. The consultant will work with the Iowa Downtown Resource Center to identify creative placemaking opportunities in Iowa downtowns. The scope of work includes participating in Downtown Assessments visits, providing design drawings, and assisting in preparing and delivering public presentations. The consultant will also be required to identify funding programs to assist communities with project implementation and identify potential projects eligible for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. • The consultant will participate in 6 to 8 Downtown Assessments visits per year, with each visit averaging 2.5 days in length. • The consultant will provide design drawings and assist in preparing and delivering public presentations. • The consultant will identify funding programs to assist communities with project implementation and identify potential projects eligible for CDBG funding. • The consultant will work with the Iowa Downtown Resource Center to identify creative placemaking opportunities in Iowa downtowns. • The consultant will be required to register to do business in Iowa before payments can be made. • The consultant will be required to obtain a Unique Entity Identifying (UEI) number if federal funds are utilized to fund this RFP.
