NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE
The Port Authority of NY & NJ (the Port Authority) intends to establish a sole source requirements contract with General Atomics International Services Corp., d/b/a Cryotech Deicing Technology (Cryotech), located in Fort Madison, IA, for the following:
TITLE: Supply and Delivery of NAAC® Sodium Acetate Solid Deicer to John F. Kennedy International, LaGuardia, Newark Liberty International, NY Stewart International and Teterboro Airports
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Cryotech is the sole North American manufacturer of NAAC® sodium acetate solid deicer currently used by the Port Authority on runways at its five airports. NAAC must be supplied in bulk metric ton lots, 1000kg super sacks and 25kg bags on an as-needed and emergency basis. Any alternate manufacturer product must be proven equal to NAAC.
Firms who believe they can compete in the future for the supply of OEM parts or OEM-equivalents and for the specified services are required to submit an email with a brief statement of their intent and capability to compete. January 7, 2026. The Port Authority does not guarantee that firms responding to this notice will be rendered a request to tender an offer for this procurement. In addition, the Port Authority does not guarantee that any solicitation will occur for this procurement, but reserves the right to solicit proposals.
