Description
The City of Asheville is seeking a qualified contractor to perform interior renovation work on the 4th‑floor of its Municipal (MUNI) building. The scope includes complete removal of existing wall carpet and adhesive, surface preparation, installation of plywood backing for future screen‑wall mounting, removal and infill of two interior windows, and full interior repainting of all affected surfaces. The work must be finished to a smooth, uniform finish and completed within a 60‑day performance period.
• Demolition: carpet, trim, adhesive, and two interior windows removal.
• Carpentry: install plywood backing anchored to studs, drywall infill for window openings, and related repairs.
• Finishes: surface prep, priming, and two coats of commercial‑grade interior paint on walls and new plywood.
• Schedule: bids due Sep 8 2026, work to start Sep 28 2026 and be completed within ~2 months.
