PROPOSED SOLE SOURCE AWARD: CONDUCTED ELECTRICAL WEAPONS

The Westchester County Department of Public Safety and the Bureau of Purchase and Supplies intend to recommend the issuance of a Sole Source award to Axon Enterprise, Inc. for the purchase of TASER X26P conducted electrical weapons (CEWs) and associated extended warranty services. The devices provide a less-lethal force option for law enforcement personnel and are compatible with existing Axon cartridges and accessories currently deployed by the Department of Public Safety. Key deliverables include thirteen (13) TASER X26P units and four-year extended warranty coverage for all units. Interested vendors must submit a Statement of Capabilities in sufficient detail to determine if the specifications and requirements can be met. • Thirteen (13) TASER X26P units • Four-year extended warranty coverage for all units • Written authority from Axon Enterprise, Inc. to provide CEW equipment and support services (if proposing TASER brand devices) • Detailed description of how the product meets the County’s operational, training, and compatibility requirements (if proposing an alternative) • Demonstrated experience supplying and supporting less-lethal weapons systems for law enforcement agencies
