Flood Partnership: Real-time Data Grant Program

The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) is offering the Flood Partnership Real‑time Data Grant Program to fund the purchase and installation of telemetry equipment that captures and transmits real‑time reservoir elevation and hydro‑meteorological data from dams with ungated spillways. Eligible applicants are California public agencies that own or are responsible for such dams (e.g., counties, cities, water districts, flood control districts, etc.). The grant aims to improve flood warning capabilities, support forecasters and emergency responders, and enhance statewide flood risk management. Funding totals $3.5 million, sourced from Proposition 68 and the State General Fund, and will be awarded on a reimbursement basis.
