Coggeshall Street Phase 3 Sewer Separation Project

The City of New Bedford is soliciting bids for the Coggeshall Street Phase 3 Sewer Separation Project. The project involves wastewater system improvements, including the installation of new drain, sewer, and water piping, as well as the construction of a new outfall with salt marsh restoration and bank stabilization. The project also includes the removal and replacement of existing PCCP water transmission main and the cutting and removal of abandoned 54” contaminated sewer pipeline. Other work includes furnishing and installing water main, stormwater control measure removal, site restoration, utility relocations, trenchless cured-in-place liner rehabilitation of existing sewers and drains, service connections, and connection to the existing system. • The project requires the installation of approximately 7,800 linear feet of 12-inch through 48-inch drain pipe, 2,000 linear feet of 2’x6’, 3’x4.5’, and 4’x6’ box culvert, and 700 linear feet of 8-inch through 12-inch sewer pipe. • The project also involves the construction of new outfall with salt marsh restoration and bank stabilization. • The contractor will be responsible for removing and replacing existing PCCP water transmission main and cutting and removing abandoned 54” contaminated sewer pipeline. • The project requires coordination with the MassDOT I-195 Viaduct Design-Build project (MassDOT Project 606527).
