MICROWAVE POINT-TO-POINT COMMUNICATIONS (MATERIAL AND SERVICES) FOR FOREIGN MILITARY SALES (FMS)

The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) is conducting market research to identify potential sources for microwave point-to-point communications (material and services) for Foreign Military Sales (FMS). The requirement is for a commercially available point-to-point microwave communication system capable of providing reliable, high-availability communications in austere and expeditionary environments. The system should support a minimum communications link availability of 99.999% under specified environmental conditions. Interested sources should submit a brief description of their company, solution, and ability to meet potential system requirements. Some key points to consider: • Proven point-to-point microwave communications solution suitable for deployment in harsh desert environments. • Operating temperature range: -40°C to +60°C. • Environmental protection meeting IP66, IP67, and/or equivalent military environmental standards. • Approximately seventy (70) microwave point-to-point links deployed in a 1+0 configuration. • High-performance antennas, spare radio units, and required accessories. • Aggregate throughput: minimum 400 Mbps per site. • Link distances: up to 15 km for site-to-site links and up to 60 km for backhaul links. • Tower heights: up to 30 meters for site-to-site towers and up to 60 meters for backhaul towers. • Reliability objective: 99.999% link availability. • Network management: centralized Network Management System (NMS) capable of remote monitoring, configuration, fault management, and performance reporting. • Security: AES-256 encryption, FIPS 140-2 or FIPS 140-3 validated cryptographic capabilities, and Trade Agreements Act (TAA) compliance.
