State and Mortenson (SAM) Water Tower Fencing

The City of Ames is seeking bids from qualified contractors to install security fencing surrounding the State and Mortenson elevated water tank and associated pump station. The contractor will be responsible for supplying all labor, tools, equipment, and materials, unless otherwise noted. The scope of work includes installing fencing along the boundaries indicated, installing a gate with a padlock for accessibility, and providing a trash container on site, among other tasks. The contractor must comply with all security measures and protocols established by the City, and must also ensure that their work does not disturb or damage existing grades, fences, drives, pavement, utilities, plants, lawns, containment berms/dikes, and other facilities. • The project location is at the City of Ames State and Mortenson Elevated Tank, 3030 Mortenson Road, Ames, IA 50010. • The contractor must provide a construction work plan, including an estimated work schedule and purchase and delivery of materials. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to occupational safety and health. • The contractor must provide a portable restroom for their staff and ensure that all waste is disposed of in accordance with local ordinances.
